Gorillaz to debut new album via live stream in Tokyo this weekend
Gorillaz will debut their new album, 'The Now Now', live from Tokyo during a Boiler Room stream this weekend.
The announcement came on Twitter yesterday, with the performance set to be aired on Sunday 24th June, and the news follows several singles that have been unveiled in the run up to the long-player being ready— most recently 'Fire Flies', which closely followed 'Sorcererz'.

Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett's iconic cartoon band Gorillaz have dropped another new track from their forthcoming album ‘The Now Now’.
‘Sorcererz’ is the third tune to be released from the record, coming after jaunty indie-rock number ‘Humility’ and house-flavoured instrumental ‘Lake Zurich’.

Damon Albarn recently revealed in an interview that he once turned down the opportunity to collaborate with Prince because he wouldn’t be allowed smoke in the studio.
In conversation with Gordon Smart of Radio X, the Gorillaz/Blur frontman said that he had been invited to visit Prince’s studio Paisley Park for a recording session but had turn down the offer as Prince did not allow smoking in the space.
