The animated band, led by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, released their debut album on 26th March 2001. The LP introduced the project to the world, and features some of their most iconic tracks including ‘Clint Eastwood’ and ‘19-2000’. The album hit No.3 in the UK charts, and is now certified platinum, having sold 974,311 copies in the past two decades.

Rico Nasty has announced a new comic book to accompany her debut studio album, ‘Nightmare Vacation’, which was released earlier this month.
Starring and written by the rising American rapper herself, the comic is titled ‘Nightmare Vacay’ and was co-written by Jarrett Williams with colouring by Aladdin Collar.

The Gorillaz have dropped the trailer for their Song Machine Live From Kong virtual shows taking place this weekend, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of December.
The 14-piece virtual band led by Damon Albarn will play songs from Gorillaz’ new album and audiovisual project,’Song Machine Season One: Strange Timez’ - blending real time performance from the basement of Kong Studios with exclusive animation by Jamie Hewlett.

Gorillaz have launched a new range of toy figurines.
A month on from it was revealed that a Gorillaz movie is reportedly in the works, Damon Albarn's digital outfit - 2D, Russel Hobbs, Murdoc Niccals, and Noodle - will be available as figures ranging between nine and 12 inches tall.
