Legendary Detroit DJ/producer extraordinaire Moodymann has teased a new album, set for release in June.
Last week, the sample maestro and dancefloor innovator shared a new track, ‘Got Me Coming Back Right Now’, featuring regular collaborator Amp Fiddler and his band, Amp Dog Knights.

Although Detroit can legitimately lay claim to being the birthplace of techno, the city maintains an uneasy relationship with the music it helped spawn. On the one hand, the scene in the city is virtually non-existent (fascinatingly documented in Laurent Garnier’s ‘Electrochoc’), yet on the other it continues to churn out incredibly talented producers in impressively peerless fashion.
Farr Festival announces Dixon, Moodymann, more for 2018
Farr Festival has announced its first names for its 2018 edition.
The crew behind the event have already nabbed some seriously heavyweight names, with Dixon, Moodymann and Gerd Janson among those set to touch down at the Hertfordshire event.
Running from the 5th-8th July in Bygrave Woods, Hertfordshire, the festival will also plsy host to Eclair Fifi and British live act legend Mr G, who will showcase his sounds at his “G’s Spot” stage.

The Chemical Brothers welcome in the final month of 2017 with a headlining slot on 01st December’s BuggedOut! showcase. The iconic duo will be joined by Erol Alkan, Nathan Detroit and Lemmy Ashton.
Oasis Festival reveals Maceo Plex, Marcel Dettmann, more in first wave of acts
Oasis Festival will be back at The Source luxury resort in Morocco from 15th to 17th September with another line-up of top techno and house talent.
Ellum boss Maceo Plex tops the bill in the first wave of acts, joined by the likes of Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann, legendary selector Moodymann, live hardware dons KiNK and Karenn, Chloé, Jeremy Underground, Auntie Flo, Mike Servito, Young Marco and more.
Now in its third year, Oasis combines the best in electronic music with desert sun, stunning views and wellness activities such as yoga.
INTO THE FACTORY ADDS MOODYMANN, ANDREW WEATHERALL, SONJA MOONEAR, MORE
Hosted by the crew behind Into The Valley, Into The Factory is set to kick off in Nynäshamn, Sweden, from August 10th - 12th next year.
Eight new names have been added to the bill this week including Moodymann, Andy Weatherall, Sonja Moonear, alongside live dance acts Sebastian Mullaert and SHXCXCHCXSH.
They join previously confirmed artists DVS1, Mathew Jonson and Nastia with more than 70 DJs tipped to play over the full three-day event.

Dekmantel has announced a move to Brazil in 2017, launcing a new festival in São Paolo with a host of top electronic artists, including Nina Kraviz and Nicolas Jaar, who'll perform his new album 'Sirens' live.
The Amsterdam festival has gone from strength to strength in recent times, launching a successful label and expanding into Croatian events too.
Taking place over 4th and 5th February 2017, the new festival will encompass a daytime event at The Jockey Club and a night time party in the industrial, factory setting of Fabriketa.
JACKMASTER AND MOODYMANN TO PLAY NEW AMSTERDAM CLUB, SHELTER
Ravers will have a fresh place to party at this year's Amsterdam Dance Event, as new nightclub Shelter opens with Jackmaster and Moodymann in the booth.
Set up by three veterans of the 'Dam club scene (previous experience includes AIR, Trouw and LET), the 700-capacity subterranean venue is located underground on the IJ riverbank.
Set to offer a mixture of house, techno and leftfield bookings, the space launches on Thursday 20th October with the aforementioned superstar DJs, plus local hero Tom Trago.
MOODYMANN AND MORE TO HEADLINE POLARIS FESTIVAL 2016
Polaris Festival returns for a second year with yet another barrage of top notch headliners.
Taking over the Le Mouton Noir, a retreat high up in the Swiss Alps, from 9th-11th December, the festival welcomes the likes of Moodymann, Richie Hawtin, Dixon, Deetron and more to its frosty booths.
MOODYMANN TO MIX NEW DJ-KICKS
Moodymann has been announced as the latest artist to mix an instalment of !K7's iconic DJ-Kicks series.
The Detroit legend is set to spin on the series' 52nd edition, with the new mix set to feature a deft combination of rare wax and recognisable club cuts, including tracks from José González, Noir & Haze, Little Dragon and more.
The new mix also features 11 exclusive Moodymann edits that showcase his significant skill as a producer as well as a selector.
It's out 19th February via !K7 Records.
