Theo Parrish will release his new album, ‘Wuddaji’, next week.
Set for release on his own Sound Signature label in 18th September, the nine-track LP was teased last year with the track ‘This Is For You’, featuring vocalist Maurissa Rose. You can hear clips from the album below.
It will be Parrish’s first studio album since 2014’s ‘American Intelligence’ and his seventh full-length album to date. His LP debut, ‘First Floor’, was released in 1998.

The Detroit trio, made up of Kevin Saunderson, Dantiez Saunderson and vocalist Steffanie Christi’an, today revealed their new 12-track LP, 'We All Move Together'.
Recorded over 18 months of studio sessions between touring, a press release states that the album's title "means more now than ever" and that "‘We All Move Together’ represents the uplifting love and connection that music brings to Kevin Saunderson’s life, the Inner City group, and the rest of the world."

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to pay funeral costs for late Detroit DJ and producer, Mike Huckaby.
The legendary deep house artist died on 24th April from complications with COVID-19 following a stroke. Adriel Thornton, a longtime Detroit promoter and friend of Huckaby’s, has launched the fundraiser earlier this week on behalf of Huckaby’s brother, Craig. All donations will go to Huckaby’s family to assist with funeral expenses.

Movement Detroit has been postponed until September due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Scheduled to take place at Hart Plaza base over Memorial Day weekend, from May 23rd until May 25th, Movement shared that they have made the decision to postpone the event until September.
In a statement on Twitter, Movement wrote: "Ok, here we go... Due to the developing COVID-19 restrictions and our ongoing communications with State and City officials, it is with a great sense of responsibility that we have rescheduled Movement 2020.
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched for techno legend Mike Huckaby.
The fundraiser was created by fellow Detroit DJ and producer Delano Smith after Huckaby had what's been described as a "medical setback".
Smith said, "As artists, we do not have the luxury of job funded health care and sometimes need a bit of help, as costs can be extreme. Especially when the unexpected occurs. So please, give what you can and let’s help our brother in his time of need. And say a prayer for our brother Michael Huckaby."
Gentrified Underground have released a 12-track compilation, 'Bubble Chamber', and a 56-page book celebrating the work of Drexciya.
The tracks on 'Bubble Chamber' were all released between 1982 and 2019, and aim to show the reach and influence of Detroit duo Drexciya, comprised of James Stinson and Gerald Donald.
An extension to the Bubble Chamber exhibition, tracks on the compilation come courtesy of Xor Gate, Kuldaboli, and Plant43, and the booklet features work from Abdul Qadim Haqq, Charlie Mills, chukwumaa, and Dominiqueh White.
