WMC has always been a key target for emerging artists, DJs and labels desperate to break into the scene. Throughout conference week countless CDRs, white labels and dubplates will be thrust into the hands of the industry's major players. But how many actually get a listen? And of those how many get direct feedback? Not - we suspect - very many.
Enter DJmag's exclusive WMC listening sessions. We want to give DJmag readers the chance to get face-to-face feedback from established industry names and maybe even get some tracks signed on the spot - every Miami hopefuls dream WMC outcome!
On Thursday 26th March, in the Shelborne's luxurious lounge we are hosting two demo listening sessions. At midday trance heavyweights Marcus Schulz and Gareth Emery will sit down alongside Sander Bouma (Armarda's head of A & R) to listen to your trance productions!
If your bag is more house orientated then there is an opening for you too. Head over to the lounge at 4pm where Flamingo Recording's leading names Fedde le Grand and Funkerman will be on hand to give your tracks a listen.
This is a massive opportunity to put your music in front of people who have the potential to take it to the next level. "I'm on the search for new music at the moment" shared Gareth Emery, who has just launched his own Garuda imprint, "If I hear something that is well produced and original and we could see Garuda releasing it, then I'll sign it on the spot!"
So make sure that you pack those essential copies of your hottest tracks and make your way down to the Shelborne to make your self heard! It's free, and could be your launch pad to the big time!
